A Guide to Data Preparation

To allow for efficient consulting, it is necessary that the clients' data sets are set up in the usual, universally useable way of statistical data frames.

A good explanation on how to prepare data in a useful way can be found at Stablab of LMU Munich . Examples are provided as well.

The Statistical Consulting Service favors data in .csv or .txt format (e.g. generated from SPSS or Excel). Every other datatype is not guarranteed to be supported and all the guidelines by Stablab are standard for them as well.
